Krimmel says some of the challenges facing oncology nurses can be seen as a positive. While the ever-changing world of oncology is a huge challenge, by staying on top of the changes in the field, nurse can be better equipped to care for patients.
Because of all the new developments in oncology, there is an increase in survivorship, Krimmel says. The increase in patients can also be a challenge for nurses.
