Telehealth is currently being used in cancer care and will continue to expand.

Telehealth is currently being used in the world of oncology in fields such as imaging, pathology, and patient use, but "the future is going to have so much more," explained Allen Lichter, MD, FASCO, senior partner of TRG Healthcare.

Lichter said that eventually cancer care teams will be able to have remote sensors on their patients, monitor physiologic processes, and even diagnose or treat patients as technology continues to improve and expand.
