Terri Horton-O’Connell, Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations, Foundation for Women’s Cancer, discusses the goals of the foundation.

Horton-O’Connell says the foundation was started in 1991 by the Society of Gynecologic Oncology to act as the patient advocacy arm. The mission of the foundation is to promote the prevention, early detection, and optimal treatment of gynecologic cancer through awareness, education, and research.
