Mindfulness strategies help patients to better regulate their responses to mental or physical symptoms that they may be experiencing. By gaining that self-awareness, patients can build their capacity to manage what they are facing.

There are several different practices, including meditation, which are aimed at helping patients to build a more accepting relationship to current and future challenges.
