New Technology Streamlines Financial Assistance Approval for Eligible Patients
Washington, DC, May 8, 2015 — The Patient Access Network (PAN) Foundation today announced the launch of a new online patient portal that expedites its financial assistance application process and allows for real-time determination of eligibility for patients with critical and chronic illnesses. The new patient portal complements PAN’s existing specialty pharmacy and provider portals, streamlining the financial assistance application process for patients and their advocates, caretakers, providers and pharmacists.
“The PAN Foundation is committed to finding ways to ease patients’ financial burdens so that they can focus on improving their health and quality of life,” said PAN President and CEO Daniel Klein. “Part of that commitment is to make the application process as user-friendly and accessible as possible so that patients get the critical treatment they need, when they need it.”
The PAN Foundation offers nearly 60 disease-specific patient assistance programs, spanning cancer, chronic illnesses and rare diseases. Patients, or advocates and caregivers applying on their behalf, can now apply for assistance using PAN’s online patient portal (https://www.panapply.org/) or by calling 1-866-316-PANF (7263), 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (EST), Monday through Friday.
