Morganna Freeman, DO, FCAP, from The Angeles Clinic and Research Institute gives advice on how to help a patient who is dealing with the stigma associated with melanoma, or other cancers.

Many patients with melanoma can feel guilty because of the stigma surrounding this cancer, similar to that with lung cancer. Freeman stresses a focus on moving forward, and making a plan of action. She also encourages nurses to recommend advocacy groups to their patients.
