Lisa Butterfield on the Nurse's Role in Immunotherapy Treatment

Video

Lisa Butterfield discusses what nurses should know when treating patients receiving immunotherapies.

Lisa Butterfield, PhD, University of Pittsburgh and president of the Society of Immunotherapy for Cancer (SITC), describes what nurses should know when dealing with immunotherapy treatments.

During the Nurse track at the most recent SITC Annual Meeting, Butterfield hopes that nurses would come away with a knowledge of the options available, how the different drugs work, and how that affects the patient experience. This information should also help nurses in talking to patients and empower them when treating patients receiving immunotherapies.
