How does the service work?

The Clinical Trial Navigators will help you quickly search the entire national database for clinical trials that match your specific situation. They recommend that you search for clinical trial options before you begin your first treatment if possible, and again each time you are making a new treatment decision. This information service is designed to help you identify options-but you are NEVER obligated to enroll in a study. We simply never want to hear someone say: "I wish I had known about that earlier." The service is free for patients and families; it is unbiased and completely confidential.

Clinical trials are research studies that test how well new medical approaches work in people with early and advanced head and neck cancers. They have a natural place in your review of treatment options as doctors strive to improve current head and neck cancer treatments and search for new and better options. Today there are various types of targeted therapies and immunotherapies in development, so there are more options to consider than ever before.
