Danielle Hicks, director, Patient Services and Support, Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation, discusses the lung cancer living room program.

Hicks says on the third Tuesday of every month, thought leaders from around the world are invited to speak to patients across a broad range of topics in the field of lung cancer. The talk is streamed to about 300 people around the world. These online viewers can also ask the speakers questions, Hicks says.

This program gives anyone in the world access to leaders in the field of lung cancer, Hicks says.

The 2-hour sessions are then edited down into 20-minute highlight clips and featured on the foundation’s website and mobile app. Hicks says there is clearly a need around the world for more information on lung cancer.
