CURE Media Group, the nation’s leading digital and print media enterprise dedicated to patients and survivors of cancer, welcomes The Biden Cancer Initiative to the Strategic Alliance Partnership (SAP) program. The partners will collaborate to promote patient education and administration policies for cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, research and care approaches.
“It’s an honor to team up with The Biden Cancer Initiative,” said Michael J. Hennessy Jr, president of MJH Associates, Inc., parent company of CURE Media Group. “Through this partnership, we look forward to providing key resources to the community on early stages of cancer diagnoses and cancer prevention.”
Founded by former US vice president and second lady (2009-2017), Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden, The Biden Cancer Initiative, builds on the Cancer MoonShot program’s ultimate goal to eliminate cancer. This nonprofit organization focuses on reducing disparities in patient outcomes by easing the treatment navigation process of cancer patients and caregivers. Established to overcome the lack of cohesive, comprehensive and timely approach to cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, research and care, the foundation serves as a guiding force for the cancer community. Additionally, it instills a sense of urgency into cancer research and care systems and redesigning the ways government, academia, private sector and nonprofit organizations join forces to fight cancer.
On Friday, September 21, the Bidens are hosting a national Biden Cancer Community Summit in Washington, DC. The summit will focus on the patient’s journey from prevention through a cancer diagnosis, treatment through survivorship, and determine what we must do to accelerate progress. As part of this joint effort, The Biden Cancer Initiative will be able to share valuable content through CURE® magazine and its sister publication, American Journal of Managed Care®, where readers will have access to unprecedented content including latest research, interviews and articles that can help cancer patients and policymakers stay informed. The SAP program is designed to facilitate an open exchange of information among trusted peers, the goal of which is to improve patient care.
