The Colon Cancer Alliance is holding a summit, titled "Fighting a Smarter War on Colorectal Cancer" on December 4-6th. This summit, in which we are partnering with Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation, has three available sessions that are intended to meet the needs of patients across the colon cancer spectrum, from newly diagnosed to long term survivors. The Summit will take place at the Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center in Washington, D.C.
The first session will be focused on stage IV and mCRC long-term survivors 5+ years out from diagnosis and will result in a research paper. The summit focus will be identifying the unmet needs and challenges of the mCRC long-term survivor community. The summit will shed light on the patient perspective and will address psycho-social, physical, financial, family and relationship concerns.
The second session is designed for those who are newly diagnosed or currently in treatment for colorectal cancer, and their caregivers.
The third session is also for newly diagnosed patients, and will be devoted to advancements in colorectal cancer, and side effect management.
