Bernardo L. Rapoport, MD, the Medical Oncology Centre of Rosebank, discusses how chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) is an unmet need in cancer care.

While many current treatments treat and prevent vomiting, they often do little to prevent nausea, Rapoport says, noting that some data points toward olanzapine, an antipsychotic, as a possible adjuvant medicine to treat nausea.
